Interviewing Do's and Don'ts

DO

  1. Arrive a little early
  2. Maintain good eye contact
  3. Answer questions with sentences, not Yes, No, Okay
  4. Think about your answers
  5. Be friendly and polite
  6. Dress neatly and properly for the job
  7. Turn off cell phones and pagers

DON'T

  1. Smoke or chew anything, even if invited to do so
  2. Ask about days off
  3. Talk badly about a former employer or teacher
  4. Fidget or play with things on the interviewer s desk
  5. Discuss other jobs you are applying for or did not get
  6. Wear perfume or cologne
