Interviewing Do's and Dont's

DO

  • Arrive a little early
  • Maintain good eye contact
  • Answer questions with sentences, not Yes, No, Okay
  • Think about your answers
  • Be friendly and polite
  • Dress neatly and properly for the job
  • Turn off cell phones and pagers

DON'T

  • Smoke or chew anything, even if invited to do so
  • Ask about days off
  • Talk badly about a former employer or teacher
  • Fidget or play with things on the interviewer s desk
  • Discuss other jobs you are applying for or did not get
  • Wear perfume or cologne
